I never thought there's such thing as root
canal infection until I consulted a dentist. I always got an abscess on my gum. I have this filling of my tooth long time ago and I felt a slight pain on it recently. The dentist told me that the abscess was caused by an infection of the root canal. She performed the Intraoral x-ray, oral examination and Extirpation of pulp of the root canal. It took me almost an hour in the clinic. After 1-2 hours of the whole session and when the anesthesia was gone, I terribly suffering with so much pain until now. Intolerable pain as in. What the heck! I consulted a dentist to get rid of the pain but what is this? I badly needed to come back to the dentist as soon as I can schedule an appointment because this is killing me softly. You know, I hate to take pain killers because I'm not used to it. But that's the only option for now to make me sleep. I'm taking pain-reliever every 6 hours because if I wont, the pain won't stop. I was told to come back after a week to start the
root canal treatment. I just hope that it will work because if not, it's better to lose one tooth than to suffer this kind of pain that I'm going through at the moment. Dental is very costly and if we don't have insurance, surely our pockets will be empty.
